~ Good Morning and Happy Saturday!

Here are Two Powerful Verses of Scripture that you really need to read, and carefully adhere to, this morning.

• ‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭6:11-12 •

“But as for you, O man of God, flee these things (the negative things listed in the above verses). Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness. (12)Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” ‭(ESV‬‬)

✝️ “But as for you, O man of God…” — The Apostle Paul is directly speaking to young Timothy, whom he is grooming to be a pastor and Christian leader.

However, these instructions, which Paul is sharing with young Timothy, are also relevant for you, and I, and every believer, today.

Read Carefully.

“Pursue…”

✝️ “righteousness”

• Constantly strive for doing

what is right.

✝️ “godliness”

• Constantly strive for doing

your very best to be godly,

and holy, as God is holy.

(1 Peter 1:15-16)

✝️ “faith”

• Constantly strive for building

your faith in Father God.

(Mark 11:22)

✝️ “love”

• Constantly strive for

deepening your love for

Father God, “and your

neighbor as yourself.”

(Luke 10:27)

✝️ “steadfastness”

• Constantly strive for

endurance that keeps you

going in the right direction.

(Luke 21:19)

✝️ “gentleness”

• Constantly strive to be

gentle so that you will be

able to deal with all types of

people. (Ephesians 4:2)

✝️ “Fight the good fight of the faith”

• Fight, with all perseverance,

to hold tightly to your faith in

God and Christ Jesus.

✝️ “Take hold of the eternal life”

• Fight, constantly strive, to

hold on to your salvation,

and your promise of eternal

life. (John 3:16; Romans

6:23; John 5:24)

• Don’t let anything rip your

salvation away from you!

• Watch it, and guard it,

carefully!

Timothy had been called to a life of witnessing for Jesus, and so have you! (Matthew 28:19-20)

‼️Let’s Take Our Calling Seriously And Pursue It Every Moment Of Our Lives‼️

The Lord bless you today with many opportunities to share Jesus with others.

Sincerely,

— Pastor Gene

~ Good Morning & Happy SUNDAY!

Following is our scripture passage for today. It’s found in …

• 2 Timothy‬ ‭3:16-17 •

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, (17)that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” ‭(ESV‬‬)

✝️ “All Scripture…”

• Referred to the complete work

of the Old Testament.

✝️ “is breathed out by God…”

• The idea that this phrase

presents is that God has

breathed His character into

Scripture so that it is inherently

inspired and holy.

✝️ “and profitable for teaching…”

• Scripture is the only source of

sound Christian doctrine.

✝️ “for reproof (rebuking)…”

• This can refer to a rebuke that

exposes the errors of false

teachers.

• It can also refer to the fact that

the Holy Scriptures can rebuke

the behavior in our personal

lives as well.

• Whether the rebuke is personal

or doctrinal, Scripture can show

sinners their failures, clarify the

point of their mistake, and lead

them to a new sense of peace

and wholeness in the Lord.

✝️ “for correction…”

• The term “correcting,” which is

used only here, in the New

Testament, tells us that

Scripture helps individuals to

restore, and correct, their

wrong behavior, or beliefs, and

bring them into a right state

before God.

• Correction is one means God

uses in order to restore people

to spiritual positions they have

previously forfeited.

✝️ “and for training in

righteousness…”

• “Training” describes a system

of discipline, in the Scriptures,

that leads to a holy life-style.

✝️ “that the man of God may be

complete, equipped for every

good work.”

• “Complete, equipped”

describes someone who is in fit

shape or condition.

• It describes a person, who has

learned the Holy Scriptures,

and who has been called, and

furnished, completely, to do

whatever God has called him to

perform.

‼️ Read The Bible ‼️

When you read the Bible, Father God is speaking directly to you.

Reading the Bible will clarify God’s call on your life, and will help train you to carry out that call.

The Lord bless you as you seek out truths in the Holy Scriptures!

Sincerely,

— Pastor Gene

~ Good Saturday Morning:

Our Bible Verse, this morning, comes to us from …

• Proverbs 29:25 •

“The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.”

‭‭(ESV‬‬)

✝️ “The fear of man”

• This could mean “a man’s own

fear” or “being afraid of men.”

• Either way, it refers to being a

coward.

✝️ “Lays a snare”

• This literally means “brings a

snare” or “causes trouble for a

person.”

• Ultimately, it’s a trap laid by an

enemy that can cause you to

stumble, or fall into, and bring

you harm.

✝️ “But whoever trusts in the Lord is

safe.”

• The person who trusts in the

Lord is literally “set on high” or

“made to be safe.”

• The idea of being “set on high”

is that of being protected by

the Lord and out of danger’s

reach.

Gideon (Judges 6) cowardly hid from the Midianite Army, in a barn, processing wheat to have a little food for his family. He was afraid, for his life, and what the Midianites might do to him if he was found.

But an angel appeared to him. He had got a call from God to not fear, but fight; and God promised that His presence would go with Gideon.

Gideon obeyed God, he trusted God and he followed God’s instructions. I believe that he might of even went afraid, but he still followed God’s plan. The end result? Gideon, his men and the powerful presence of God won the battle! Gideon and his men were safe! The enemy was defeated!

The author of Hebrews penned, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?” —

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13:6‬ ‭(ESV‬‬)

Even if you have to go afraid — Go With God!

Going the way of the Lord will keep you out of the “snares/traps” of the enemy of your soul. Doing things God’s way will always lead you to a safe, and secure, place.

Now this doesn’t mean that there won’t be any tough times, or “afraid” times in your life; it just means that when you go with God, and trust in him, you can be assured of being safe and in the center of His will.

“Whoever trust in the Lord is safe.”

The Lord bless you is all you endeavor to accomplish for Him.

Sincerely,

— Pastor Gene

~ Good Morning and Happy Resurrection Day‼️

This morning, our scripture reading comes to us from…

• Matthew‬ ‭28:1-10 •

“Now after the Sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. (2)And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on it. (3)His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. (4)And for fear of him the guards trembled and became like dead men. (5)But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. (6)He is not here, for He has risen, as He said. Come, see the place where He lay. (7)Then go quickly and tell his disciples that He has risen from the dead, and behold, He is going before you to Galilee; there you will see Him. See, I have told you.” (8)So they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell His disciples. (9)And behold, Jesus met them and said, “Greetings!” And they came up and took hold of His feet and worshiped Him. (10)Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid; go and tell My brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see Me.””‬ ‭(ESV‬)

‼️”Do Not Be Afraid…He Is Not Here, for HE HAS RISEN…”‼️

Today, we Celebrate our Risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

• Our Sins are Forgiven!

• Our Bodies are Healed!

• Our Promise of Abundant Life,

and Eternal Life, is now Real

and True!

“Oh happy day, Oh happy day,

When Jesus washed, Oh when he He washed, my sins away (Oh happy day!)”

I encourage you to rededicate your life to Jesus today. Broadcast it loudly, that He is the Savior of your soul.

The Lord bless you, today, with the abundance that only our Lord can give you.

Sincerely,

— Pastor Gene

~ Good Morning:

This morning, in my Bible reading, I came across the below verse of scripture. I’ve posted it in the Amplified Bible Translation.

• Proverbs 11:30 •

“The fruit of the [consistently] righteous is a tree of life, And he who is wise captures and wins souls [for God—he gathers them for eternity].” (AMP‬‬)

✝️ What does this verse mean to you?

✝️ How can you practice, or carry-out, the mission of this Bible verse?

❗️Hint: Matthew 28:19-20❗️

The Lord bless you richly as you obey His Word while living out your life.

Sincerely,

~ Good Morning!

😡 RESENTMENT 😡

This morning, I came across the following Bible Verse. Let’s look at it together:

“To worry yourself to death with resentment would be a foolish, senseless thing to do.” Job 5:2 (GNT)

If you hang on to resentment, it will always hurt you more than anyone else. Resentment is self-destructive and will eventually devastate you.

If any guy ever had a reason to be resentful, it was Job. He was a godly man, who had everything he wanted—wealth, fame, and a great family; then one day, he lost it all.

• Enemy nations killed all his livestock.

• All of his children were killed.

• He got a terrible disease.

• He literally lost almost everything he had.

• Then his friends came along and said, “Job, it’s all your fault.”

Though Job had every reason to be resentful, he tells us that resentment is a bad idea. Job says, “To worry yourself to death with resentment would be a foolish, senseless thing to do” (Job 5:2 GNT).

You might have every reason to be resentful, too.

• Maybe you’ve been hurt by someone in your church.

• Maybe family, career, ministry demands have damaged you, or your family.

Job shows us we have a choice. He knew he didn’t have time to be resentful. He knew it was foolish, senseless, and illogical to be resentful.

If you think back through experiences in your own life, you’ll probably agree. We can do silly things when we’re caught up in resentment. We’ll say, “I’m going to get him!” Then we often do the ridiculous to make that happen.

When we give in to resentment, we act in self-destructive ways and hurt ourselves much more than those we’re holding grudges against. We usually do really dumb things to try to get even with people, and it makes us miserable in the process, and never ends with us getting what we want.

So why do it?

Don’t hold on to your resentment.

Let it go.

Family Life Church’s

🙏 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting 🙏

Today is January 22, 2021 and Week 2, Day 12 of our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting. Our Prayer Focus today is, “Victory Over The Enemy” — 1 Corinthians 10:1-6.

“Brothers and sisters, I want you to know what happened to our ancestors who followed Moses. They were all under the cloud and all went through the sea. (2)They were all baptized as followers of Moses in the cloud and in the sea. (3)They all ate the same spiritual food, (4)and all drank the same spiritual drink. They drank from that spiritual rock that followed them, and that rock was Christ. (5)But God was not pleased with most of them, so they died in the desert. (6)And these things happened as examples for us, to stop us from wanting evil things as those people did.” — 1 Corinthians‬ ‭10:1-6‬ (NCV‬‬)

As you continue, today, on your 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting, I want you to meditate on the verses above. Notice that the same people who fell away from God, and died in the desert, were people who were being led, and fed, by Father God.

How do we have Victory Over The Enemy? We Stay Faithful To Jesus!

How is your heart today? What do you catch yourself thinking about?

Yes, you attend church. Yes, you read the Bible. Yes, you even pray some.

Hear me! It’s not just, “Christian activity,” that you’re needing. You need a real, ongoing relationship with the Lord, Jesus Christ!

During this Prayer and Fasting season, please don’t just go through the motions. Seriously, seek out a divine relationship with Jesus; and after that, then you can seek out His blessings for your life.

I’m so proud of you for your dedication to these 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting. I want to encourage you to Keep Up The Great Faith Work.

‼️ I assure you … Jesus is hearing your prayers ‼️

I’m praying for you, today, and loving you!

Sincerely,

— Pastor Gene

~ Good Morning!

Our Bible Verse, for today, is found in Jeremiah 29:13.

For a clearer understanding of the verse, I’ve posted it in the English Standard Version and the Amplified Version.

• Jeremiah‬ ‭29:13 •

“You will seek Me and find Me, when you seek Me with all your heart.” (ESV‬‬)

“Then [with a deep longing] you will seek Me and require Me [as a vital necessity] and [you will] find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.” (AMP‬‬)

When coming to Father God, it will always have to be with a humble, pure, and sincere heart.

To the woman at the well, in John 4:23, Jesus said …

“But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.” (ESV)‬‬

✝️ In Truth, with Purity, in Sincerity, having Integrity, by the Spirit, with all our hearts — these are the ways in which we are to approach, and seek after, the Lord. — The flippant, arrogant, insincere prayer will never gain the listening ear of our Lord. ✝️

The Lord bless you as you genuinely seek after the Him today.

Sincerely,

— Pastor Gene

21 DAYS of PRAYER and FASTING

Today is Week 1, Day 6 of Family Life’s 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting.

Our Prayer Focus today is, “Experiencing Him” — 2 Corinthians 3:16-18.

“Yes, to this day whenever Moses is read a veil lies over their hearts. (16)But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed. (17)Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. (18)And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.” — 2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:15-18‬ ‭(ESV‬)

~ Good Morning:

It’s been a while since I’ve posted. I have COVID-19. Please keep me in your prayers.

Our Bible verse for today is …

• Isaiah‬ ‭57:15 •

“Our holy God lives forever in the highest heavens, and this is what He says: Though I live high above in the holy place, I am here to help those who are humble and depend only on Me.” (CEV‬‬)

This is a simple Word from our Lord.

✝️ He lives in the high and holy places.

✝️ He deals with matters that move heaven and earth.

✝️ Yet, He lowers, and humbles Himself, to deal with the simple matters within mere human beings such as us.

‼️ What Awesome & Mighty God We Serve ‼️

🙏 Never neglect to call upon the Lord. 🙏

Sincerely,

— Pastor Gene

~ Good Morning and Happy New Year!!!

Following is the Bible passage that I have chosen for you today:

• 2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:17-18 •

“Anyone who belongs to Christ is a new person. The past is forgotten, and everything is new. (18)God has done it all! He sent Christ to make peace between himself and us, and He has given us the work of making peace between Himself and others.” (CEV‬‬)

There are two things that I want to impress upon you today …

1.) Verse 17 — ACCEPT JESUS‼️

Make Jesus the Lord of your life. Become the “new person” that Jesus wants you to be. Let the past be over, and look forward to the new future that Jesus has for you.

2.) Verse 18 — SHARE JESUS‼️

Father God created the peace between Him and us, and He wants us to continue this message of salvation, and peace, with everyone else.

Jesus has chosen each of us to save us, and He has told us to tell others about Him.

What a wonderful way to begin a new year; to make Jesus Lord of your life, and to begin to boldly tell others about Him.

May the Lord restore in you, the joy of your salvation, and May He give you a holy boldness to share Him with others.

Sincerely,

— Pastor Gene
